You will have many opportunities to indulge in a dim sum of culinary delights onboard our China itineraries. China’s vast size, long history, and diverse population have combined to create some truly extraordinary culinary treats. We feature both western favorites and traditional Chinese dishes onboard, such as barbecued beef and steamed pork dumplings. While onshore, you’ll also enjoy special themed meals, such as a dim sum lunch, Tang Dynasty dinners, a family-hosted lunch in the hutongs of Beijing, and an authentic Peking duck dinner.

Discover new cuisines in culturally-rich settings aboard our Mekong River cruise and tour. In addition to a sumptuous array of international dishes, you can indulge in authentic and flavorful Vietnamese and Cambodian cuisine that delights all the senses. Examples include Stir-fried Kailan with BBQ pork, Baked Fish Amok in Banana Leaves, Green Mango Salad with Smoked Fish, and Khmer sweets served with fresh tropical fruit. Rich and full of flavor, Indian food is deliciously complex, typically made with a liberal use of spices such as ginger, coriander, cardamom, cumin, turmeric, tamarind, and cinnamon. It can be subtle or spicy, savory or sweet, meat-based or vegetarian, and everything imaginable in between. During your onshore stays at some of India’s finest hotels, you’ll enjoy full breakfast buffets offering everything from fresh pastries to cooked-to-order eggs to Indian-style dishes. Onboard, our innovative menus feature both Indian-inspired cuisine and Western favorites, with lavish breakfast and lunch buffets and multi-course dinners.

The skilled chefs onboard the River Tosca use fresh, locally-sourced ingredients to prepare all meals, a mix of regionally-inspired and Western dishes. Most dinners served onshore will be at hotel restaurants serving both Egyptian-style and Western cuisine. Egyptian cuisine caters to all types of palates, simple and tasty with a liberal use of vegetables, herbs, lamb, and chicken. Another culinary highlight of this itinerary is a proper English tea at a historic hotel depicted in Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile.
