We are traveling on the Vienna to Istanbul cruise starting 2 October 2014 - I just got our e-visas on line today from the Turkish Embassy in Ottawa - took all of 5 minutes and cost $60 CDN.

You will need your passport information, and the date you expect to be in Turkey - check your tour day to day itinerary for these dates.

I cant wait for this trip - it will be our 3rd Uniworld adventure and we have loved every minute of the others!

Air France also goes to Jakarta, which might be closer to your target destination!

You can read reviews of Air Asia here:

I usually travel Air France, and think its just great. They have flights to Thailand - you will probably have to be routed through Paris for at least one connection.

Hope this is helpful,

Cheers and enjoy your trip!

Hi all - my sister and I are scheduled to take this cruise starting Oct 2 2014. One of the stops along the way (Day 8, Vienna to Istanbul) includes a trip to visit schoolchildren. The Cruise Companion says that small gifts (other than money) are welcome. So my question to anyone who has done this is: a) how many kids are we talking about here and; b) what did you bring? Thanks!

We will be travelling in September on the European Serenade - gosh, morning coffee without having to go to the dining room would be such a great treat - how do we arrange for this once on board? Thanks

OK World - here we come again!!

Little Sis and I are doing the European Serenade in Sept 2012, Amsterdam to Vienna. We are both beside ourselves with excitement! We know we will have an amazing adventure as we did the Nile trip in 2010 (and got out of Egypt just before the uprisings).

Anyone else travelling on this trip at that time?

I am most looking forward to a trip to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam - I will finally be able to see Rembrandt's "Night Watch" in person! And I cant wait for Viennese pastries and chocolate!!

Cheers everyone!
