Hello,Report Abuse Reply to this post
Our crew is trained to prepare most common diets including gluten free, in the way of gluten-free breads, pastas and items without the inappropriate side dishes and sauces, as well as our having the Executive Chef be able to point out what you can eat from the buffet or if need be, what you can have additionally from the kitchen on the ship. It is important to note that breakfast and lunch are served buffet style with enough of a variety of items to select from in order to avoid the foods youcannot eat. Dinner is the meal during the day that we can tailor to one’s specific needs.
Once onboard we do suggest touching base with the Hotel Manager or Restaurant Manager so that they can familiarize themselves with anything additional you might wish to mention regarding meals on the ship.
When you make your booking, please make sure you mention the gluten-free diet so we can note it in your booking and provide the details to proper personnel onboard the ship. To the extent possible as well as taking into consideration local conditions, we do our utmost to accommodate those needs. However, not all dietary requests can be accommodated such as Vegan and Kosher.
Regarding river ships in Europe, unfortunately these ships are not built to meet all the requirements for those who may have physical limitations. I hope this answers your question.
We hope that this answers your question and should you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact our guest relations team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your interest in Uniworld. We look forward to welcoming you aboard soon.

Just returned from a Uniworld cruise with a gluten free friend. The crew was wonderful. The first night he told our waiter who told the restaurant exec. Each time our friend entered the restaurant , buffet or menu meal, the restaurant exec was instantly at his shoulder bringing him gluten free bread and telling what he could and could not eat.Report Abuse Reply to this post
