My husband & I are going on this tour, with the 4-night Guillin/Hong Kong extension. Anyone going? Getting excited!

My husband Alan and I are going on this tour October 16, but not to Hong Kong. We just signed up for it 2 weeks ago. We're from the Philadelphia suburbs. Susan and Alan Miller

Hi Susan (& Allan),
Thank you for responding to my post, we look forward to meeting you in Beijing on Oct 17! Is this your first time visiting China? It is our first time, we are calling it our "empty nesters" trip as our 2nd daughter is moving out and starting 1st year at College (we call it university here in Canada). Our older daughter is going into 3rd year. We live in Toronto, and are very excited for this trip. We are looking into our travel Visas now, and also how to keep in touch with our daughters from China.
Andrea (& John)

Hi. I'm not sure how to use this forum; I thought I'd get a message on my e-mail with responses but just happened to come back to the site and saw your response. We are also excited and have never been to China before. We decided to go on this trip after discussing lots of other places. In the midst of applying for the visas now. We are from Villanova, Pa., a suburb of Philadelphia. Our children are grown and we have 2 grandchildren, ages 4 and 20 months, so we've been empty nesters for awhile! Our son and daughter-in-law live in Washington DC and our daughter lives in New York City. Looking forward to meeting both of you. Do you know how many people are part of the group? Any other information you have would be much appreciated. We know many people who have been to China but none through Uniworld. Susan and Alan

Hi Susan,
I am also looking forward to meeting you and Alan! This is our first trip to China, and like you, we know many people who have been there but none through Uniworld. I am in the travel business, and I watched the Uniworld webinar and decided this was the way to see China! I know there are cheaper ways to do it, but I loved the Uniworld way with centrally located 5+ star hotels, and food choices (I am a fussy eater). I am going strictly as a passenger, I do not want to be working on this trip! John was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, and I was born in Toronto where we live now.
Please feel free to email me at agoldsand@rogers.com. I have a lot of questions too, we will share information and figure it out. What to pack?? Layers I hear!
