The Captain's Gala Dinner requires formal dress. How formal is it? My husband was especially concerned about the men's attire. Thank you.Report Abuse Reply to this post

I have never seen or heard of anyone being turned away from the dining room for not having "appropriate attire". Neat and tidy should suffice. They may encourage men to wear ties and jackets for the two more formal evenings, but in reality that does not happen. That being said, if you are invited to dine with the captain it would be nice to at least have a button down shirt and tie. And that should not be a burden to stash in a suitcase.Report Abuse Reply to this post
