Closest to perfect that is possible,

I have just returned from the European Serenade cruise on the River Queen, Amsterdam - Vienna. The staff just wanted to pamper us and the scenery and stops were exquisite. From the Rijksmuseum to a piece of Sachertorte, everything was sensational. Well-planned and interesting tours, optional extras or doing your own thing - nothing was left to chance. It was easy to leave the tour if we were tired, see what we wanted and get a taxi back to the boat if it was too far to walk. This cruise is wholly recommended.

Mary Ann Renz,

In 2013 we went on the cruise from Amsterdam, Netherlands to Vienna, Austria 14 day cruise was absolutely wonderful. We really like the boutique ships with about 130 guest. The food was fabulous as was the guided tours and scenery. We will be going on our second UniWorld Tour leaving on May 16th. We enjoyed having dinner with people from other countries and America. We have a couple visiting us here in MS in September that we met on that first cruise from Australia. We skip last year as we ... Read More...

Perfect Adventure for adult children and senior parents!,

I just wanted to drop you a line. My sister , mother and I just completed our first Uni-world 12 day cruise through Germany.

What a delight. It was perfect for the more active like my sister and I and also for my 80 year old mother, who sometime was content to just sit and watch the action from the boat.

We got to enjoy the historic outings whether she felt up to it or not.

I highly recommend this vacation for Adult children and their parents. Everyone will have a good time, even the mobility challenged. />
The service and friendliness of the staff were incredible. They often would even check on my mother when I was not on board.

The food was great, and historical tours were just the right pace. We so enjoyed so much this, that we may do it again in two years, to China.

Having been on many large impersonal liners, but this was perfect with the intimacy of the 130 passengers. The 35 employees on board became like family.

It's like a floating hotel.

I have a feeling this well kept secret will not be a secret much longer.

What a wonderful experience.

European Serenade June 2013,

We departed on our cruise approimately 1 and a half weeks after the major flooding, we actually were not informed until 5 days before our departure that the cruise was still a go. This cruise is fantastic, amazing, and any other word you could think of. The ship, the crew, the sights, the sounds, and the experiences are second to none. We were on the River Ambassador, as the River Princess could not make it to Amsterdam in time for our sailing. The Ambassador is beautiful and well worth the exchange, wasn't sure, but being on board was a true ... Read More...

European Serenade River Countess,

We have just returned to the UK from our Vienna to Amsterdam cruise. We enjoyed it so much.

As very experienced river cruisers,....we first discovered river cruising in 2000!!... we have travelled with many cruise specialists. However, we have never experienced the level of service and quality food that we did on the River Countess. This is surely due to the professionalism of Hotel Manager Julie and her entire team. WE made some lovely friends and look forward to travelling with Uniworld again and regularly in the near future. They really could not have been better.

Thank ...

.....everything was first class the whole way!,

Now that we are finally back and "sort of" in a routine again, we would like to take this time to thank your whole team for putting together such a wonderful, educational trip!!!  We were so happy with the Ship, River Duchess, AND her staff.....everything was first class the whole way!

I was particularly impressed with the way my allergy to garlic was handled, no cruise before has held a candle to the service your team provided!  Chef Orlando was most gracious, making all my food just as special as everyone else's, and I had not one problem the whole trip.  Thanks ...

We certainly hope the tips we left got to all the very deserving staff!

Looking forward to sailing down another river with Uniworld soon!  Thank you so much for making it such an exciting experience.

I can truly say that this trip was a most wondeful experience and surpassed our expectations.

Cruise: European Serenade Ship: River Duchess

A Truly Wonderful Experience,

From arrival to departure we were made to feel like we were the most important guests on the ship. We covered a lot of territory and saw magnificent views. From rooftop views of Miltenberg, Germany, 2,000 year old Roman ruins and 16th Century churches. The tiny town and memorial Chapel where the famous Christmas Carole "Silent Night" was first sung and homes with bench pillows to match the shutters on the house. Not to mention all the Castles along the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers. It was the most relaxing vacation we have ever taken, right down to the last ... Read More...

This cruise was everything that I hoped it would be.,

This cruise was everything that I hoped it would be. Starting in Amsterdam we got to see Rembrandt's in the museum. Then on to the river where we could see the windmills in the fields. Coming into Cologne the air raid alarm was sounding. An eerie reminder of the past. The guides did a great job in explaining the local history and showing pictures of the devastation of WW2 and the rebuilding that the Germans did. The trip down the Rhine through the Riesling section was stunning. we were able to purchase local wines and have them shipped home. The ... Read More...
